Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in AWS cloud delivery to lead the successful execution of complex technology programmes and projects. This role is focused on driving the delivery of cloud-based solutions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with cloud architects, engineers, and technical leadership, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of AWS-focused projects, managing stakeholders, risks, resources, and project governance throughout the delivery lifecycle. You will play a key role in shaping delivery strategy, mentoring project teams, and ensuring successful outcomes across multiple concurrent engagement

Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of multiple AWS cloud projects and programmes, ensuring successful execution against scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives. Manage the full project lifecycle for cloud initiatives, including migrations, modernisation programmes, platform deployments, infrastructure transformations, and cloud-native solution delivery. Partner closely with AWS architects, consultants, and engineering teams to ensure delivery plans align with technical objectives and business outcomes. Establish and maintain robust project governance, including risk management, dependency tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communications. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing clear visibility of project progress, risks, and delivered value. Define and monitor project KPIs, ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous alignment with strategic objectives. Identify and proactively manage delivery risks, issues, and dependencies, driving timely resolution and informed decision-making. Collaborate with PMO and leadership teams to effectively allocate resources across multiple AWS-focused projects and programmes. Support the ongoing development and improvement of cloud delivery frameworks, project methodologies, and operational processes. Act as a mentor and escalation point for project management colleagues, sharing best practices and supporting successful project execution. Contribute to pre-sales activities, project scoping, proposals, and statements of work where required. Skills & Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering complex technology projects, with significant exposure to AWS cloud environments. Proven track record managing AWS cloud transformation projects, including migrations, infrastructure modernisation, cloud adoption programmes, and managed cloud services. Strong understanding of AWS services and cloud delivery principles, with the ability to effectively engage technical teams and challenge delivery assumptions where appropriate. Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a consultancy, professional services, or fast-paced technology environment. Demonstrated success delivering projects involving cloud infrastructure, security, networking, platform services, DevOps, automation, or application modernisation. Strong knowledge of Agile, PRINCE2, and hybrid project delivery methodologies. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership, technical teams, and executive-level stakeholders. Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, resource planning, forecasting, and project profitability. Exceptional organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Experience using project and delivery management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and related Agile tooling. Desirable Qualifications AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, or other AWS certifications. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, AgilePM, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification. Experience delivering large-scale cloud migration, transformation, or managed services programmes. Previous experience working within a cloud consultancy, AWS partner organisation, or professional services environment.
