Senior Project Manager – GTM – FinTech Experience

Location: Remote/UK Based Salary/Rate: £450–£600 per day (inside IR35) Start Date: 20/07/2026 Job Type: Contract (12-months)

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager sits within the Global Products & Analytics (GPA) Project Management Office (PMO) in Business Services. This role involves leading medium to large, cross-functional projects with enterprise impact. Key responsibilities include:

  • Independently managing complex, high-stakes deliverables aligned with organisational goals
  • Navigating ambiguous scope, influencing stakeholders without direct authority, and adapting to shifting priorities
  • Defining project governance frameworks while ensuring delivery against scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets

Core Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership
    • Lead and deliver medium-to-large, complex projects or multiple concurrent initiatives with a strategic business impact.
    • Define and execute project strategies, governance frameworks, and delivery standards in alignment with organisational objectives.

  • Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Manage project roadmaps, dependencies, risks, and interdependencies across diverse teams.
    • Act as a senior advisor to stakeholders at all levels, including executive reporting and strategic alignment.
    • Influence key functions such as Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Performance & Risk Management

    • Track performance via KPIs and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
    • Guarantee launch readiness and post-launch optimisation (e.g., go-to-market execution).
  • PMO & Team Development

    • Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO practices.

Requirements

Experience

  • 5–9+ years of project management experience, specifically within complex, cross-functional, or heavily regulated industries.
  • Direct experience in go-to-market (GTM) delivery or FinTech/Data Privacy/Compliance is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (a master’s degree in Project Management or an MBA is preferred).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership: Ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strategy & Risk Management: Strong grasp of project governance frameworks and performance tracking mechanisms.
  • Regulated Environments: Prior experience in financial services, data privacy, or compliance is a plus.
  • Communication & Reporting: Exceptional executive-level communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • Tool Proficiency: Expertise in PM tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet).
  • AI Integration: Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance project management practices.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications.

Mindset & Adaptability

  • Complexity Tolerance: Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Business Alignment: Projects must align with long-term business objectives.
