Our Purpose
At Severn Trent, we’re bringing a wonderful service to our customers, communities, and the environment, every day.
Our Capital Delivery teams are at the heart of making that happen. They deliver the major investment projects that help us improve performance, protect the environment, support growth, and create long-term value for the communities we serve.
We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery security team and take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of major, complex security capital projects.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll be accountable for delivering significant capital projects safely, efficiently, and to the right quality, ensuring scope, time, cost, risk, benefits, and stakeholder expectations are managed throughout the full project lifecycle.
You’ll lead complex project delivery across multiple sites, working closely with internal teams, external delivery partners, contractors, and senior stakeholders. You’ll provide strong leadership across planning, financial control, commercial management, contract performance, risk management, and the successful transition of change into business-as-usual.
This role will also see you providing technical and delivery oversight to Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators, acting as an escalation point for complex delivery, commercial, and risk issues, while role-modelling high professional standards and Severn Trent values.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
