The Opportunity

The Project Manager leads the execution of projects and ensures that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

Our teams follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures, manage the integrated schedule and cost control performance measurement process for the project’s entire scope of work related to substations.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization.
  • Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Driving the formal acceptance of the project, ensuring contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
  • Procuring all required services, materials, and equipment from external and internal suppliers, including support in negotiations, claims, and project changes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and company policies.
  • Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization.

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
  • Ensures projects follow and comply with company health, safety, and environmental policies such as “Don’t look the other way”, Lean 6 Sigma, and Power Grids hazard reporting.

Your Background

  • Proven industry experience, working on projects related to transformers and/or substations is essential.
  • Member of working towards professional membership of an appropriate body, e.g., PMI, APM, IET.
  • A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert in the job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Has proven knowledge of project management methodologies such as the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and standards set through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and PRINCE2 (or equivalents).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability and confidence for senior audiences.
  • Has strong analysis and problem-solving skills to quickly analyze complex situations.
