Role Description
Senior Project Manager
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid)
Start Date: ASAP
Engagement: Contractor (Inside IR35) or Fixed-Term Employment
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, enterprise-scale technology initiatives within a fast-paced retail environment. This role is ideal for a delivery-focused leader who thrives on bringing together business and technology teams, managing global stakeholders, and driving successful outcomes across multiple workstreams.
You will take full ownership of project delivery from initiation through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to strategic business objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale IT and business transformation projects.
- Build and manage project plans, governance frameworks, risks, dependencies, budgets, and delivery milestones.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, technology teams, suppliers, and third-party partners.
- Manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams across onshore and offshore locations.
- Drive stakeholder engagement at all levels, including senior leadership and executive management.
- Ensure projects align with organisational objectives, delivery standards, and operational priorities.
- Facilitate effective decision-making, issue resolution, and delivery governance.
- Champion best practices in project management and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring
Essential Experience:
- Significant experience leading end-to-end delivery of complex IT projects and programmes.
- Strong track record of delivering technology initiatives within large enterprise environments.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams across onshore and offshore delivery models.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience working within retail organisations or customer-centric business environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, risks, and dependencies simultaneously.

Business & Delivery Expertise
- Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, governance, and controls.
- Expertise in business processes within areas such as Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, or Retail Technology.
- Proven experience driving collaboration across business and technology functions.
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans.
Qualifications
- Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, APMP, PMP, or equivalent.
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience preferred.
