Climate17 is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK renewable energy company to recruit a Senior Project Manager to join its growing Project Development team.
Following continued growth across its renewable energy portfolio and increasing activity within the data centre sector, our client is looking to appoint an experienced project developer who can help drive multiple complex infrastructure projects through the development lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious, entrepreneurial business where you'll work across a diverse portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy, battery energy storage, and data centre projects.
You'll play a key role in progressing projects from early-stage development through to investment readiness, working closely with technical, commercial, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy and data centre projects.
- Drive projects through land, planning, grid, environmental, and commercial workstreams.
- Manage external consultants, landowners, technical advisers, and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinate technical and commercial due diligence activities.
- Identify and manage project risks while maintaining programme momentum.
- Support the assessment of new development opportunities across multiple asset classes.
- Work collaboratively across engineering, commercial, and development teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

About You
You'll be an experienced renewable energy project developer with a proven ability to independently manage complex development projects.
You'll ideally have:
- Significant experience delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of the full project development lifecycle.
- Experience across land, planning, grid connection, and commercial negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- A proactive, commercially minded, and solutions-focused approach.
