Project Manager – Permanent POSM & Retail Display (Europe)

Purpose of the Role

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic permanent retail display projects for a key Global FMCG client across Europe, ensuring seamless execution from initial brief through concept, design, production, and in-store delivery. Key focuses will be on innovation, quality, and Efficiency, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery aligned with client strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing permanent Point-of-Sale Material (POSM) projects—from briefing to in-store execution.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to deliver projects within tight deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Requires a strong understanding of retail environments, design principles, and manufacturing processes.

This role will operate on a blended basis, balancing work between:

  • The local HH Global office
  • Client/site visits as needed
  • Remote/hybrid working

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Client Engagement

  • Align projects with client sourcing strategies and program plans, adhering to all contractual, commercial, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate across teams (Client Engagement, Design, Technical Buyers, Quality, Installation) to confirm client briefs are clear, complete, and feasible.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely approvals and efficient communication.
  • Lead projects from concept to execution, ensuring accountability over timelines, budgets, and quality.

Process & Compliance

  • Manage all project activities in accordance with agreed rate cards and critical paths, defining and agreeing timelines for custom RFQs and milestones.
  • Work with stakeholders to monitor critical paths and ensure alignment with client KPIs.
  • Ensure all technical and quality documentation complies with HH Global standards and is distributed accurately.
  • Oversee compliance across Technical Buyers, QC teams, and suppliers.

Change & Risk Management

  • Manage change requests, communicating their implications to clients and suppliers clearly and transparently. -Lead a small technical team accountable for project quality.

Logistics & Execution

Quality Management

  • Embed quality control processes into project timelines, ensuring thorough execution and documentation.

Logistics & Freight

  • Coordinate logistics with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery while managing documentation (including Incoterms).

Warehousing

  • Manage stock movements and provide real-time updates to warehouse teams.

Installation

  • Define installation scope, manage vendors, issue POs (Purchasing Orders), and oversee progress to completion.

Post-Project Review

  • Conduct project reviews to improve processes continuously.
  • Finalise project documentation and ensure accurate, timely invoicing in compliance with contracts.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

Essential Criteria

  • Proven project management experience in POSM, retail display, or FMCG environments, with a strong grasp of 3D design and production processes.
  • Highly organised with an attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously across European markets.
  • Experienced in distributing the final product to acting as primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external suppliers, ensuring timely approvals and smooth communication.
  • Stakeholder management expertise—build strong client relationships while engaging effectively at senior levels.
  • Comfortable analysing and challenging requirements constructively to drive better decision-making.
  • Creative problem solver with an ability to think innovatively within constraints.
