Senior Project Manager - 60-62k, Fife
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for leading the delivery of complex technology projects that support organisational strategy. Working closely with internal technology teams, business stakeholders and external suppliers, the successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
The role also promotes effective project management, change management and business readiness practices across the organisation, while contributing to the continuous improvement of the Technology Change function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple technology projects with varying levels of complexity, risk and duration.
- Define project scope, objectives, delivery approach and governance.
- Develop and maintain project plans, documentation, budgets and reporting.
- Coordinate activities across technical teams, business stakeholders, suppliers and change management teams.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, escalating where appropriate.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including senior sponsors, ensuring effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Monitor project budgets, resources and delivery timelines.
- Support business readiness and change management activities to maximise successful adoption of new solutions.
- Contribute to portfolio reporting and ensure compliance with organisational governance standards.
- Support continuous improvement within the Technology Change function and mentor less experienced project managers where appropriate.

Essential Experience And Skills
- Proven experience delivering complex technology or IT projects.
- Strong project planning, reporting and documentation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Experience managing project governance, risks, budgets and resource planning.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments.

Desirable Experience
- Business readiness and organisational change management experience using recognised methodologies.
- Experience delivering non-IT projects.
- Experience working within regulated or governance-focused organisations.
- Exposure to a range of industry sectors.
- Experience mentoring or coaching project managers.

The ideal candidate is an experienced project manager who combines strong technical project delivery expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills. They are comfortable working across multiple projects, influencing senior stakeholders and driving continuous improvement within project delivery practices.
