Your Role

As a Senior Project Manager - Sustaining, your mission is to lead the delivery of a strategically important sustaining engineering portfolio for PCC, taking accountability for complex, business-critical projects that protect product availability, performance, compliance, and profitability across the product lifecycle. The role provides strong project leadership across functions, setting direction, governance, priorities, and delivery discipline for major obsolescence, cost reduction, and product support initiatives while ensuring robust stakeholder alignment, risk management, and benefits realisation.

You will

  • Lead several complex, high-visibility, sustaining engineering projects, translating business and technical priorities into a structured, prioritised roadmap with clear objectives, governance, and success measures.
  • Take end-to-end accountability for the delivery of larger, more complex projects, ensuring robust scope control, integrated planning, resource alignment, and effective management of interdependencies across functions.
  • Establish and lead appropriate governance, reporting, and escalation forums, providing clear recommendations and enabling timely decision-making on key project issues, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional obsolescence and lifecycle risk projects across electrical, mechanical, software/firmware, compliance, and supplier domains, ensuring continuity of supply and long-term supportability.
  • Shape and drive the cost reduction and value engineering portfolio, identifying and prioritising opportunities with meaningful business benefit while balancing technical, operational, compliance, and commercial considerations.
  • Influence and align senior cross-functional stakeholders across PCC, divisions, and external partners to secure commitment, resolve competing priorities, and maintain momentum on critical projects.
  • Strengthen sustaining project delivery capability by improving ways of working, templates, governance standards, and lessons learned, and by providing guidance and informal support to less experienced project managers where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
