Senior Project Manager – Gen II Fund Services
About the Role
Gen II Fund Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage enterprise-level, client-facing, and regulatory projects while leading process improvement initiatives. This role combines traditional project management expertise with client relationship management, focusing on delivering client-specific solutions and enabling technology-enabled projects. You will serve as the trusted point of contact, ensuring seamless project execution while maintaining strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Project Delivery & Execution
- Lead end-to-end management of complex projects, including:
- Technology enablement initiatives
- Data remediation projects
- Process improvement efforts
- Develop comprehensive project plans with:
- Clear milestones
- Dependencies and resource allocations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising:
- IT specialists
- Operations managers
- Data governance teams
- Business units
- Ensure holistic coordination between technology, operations, and business needs to deliver successful outcomes.
- Exhibit ownership and initiative by:
- Proactively addressing issues, conflicts, and critical path deliverables
- Driving projects to completion with minimal oversight
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage:
- Risks
- Issues
- Scope changes
- Ensure projects adhere to:
- PMO standards
- Deadlines
- Budget constraints
- Defined quality benchmarks

Technology Enablement
- Design and implement transparent technology change management processes.
- Manage initiatives enhancing client service delivery capabilities through:
- System enhancements
- Integrations
- Facilate collaboration with technical teams for implementation and validation.
- Verify testing, validation, and thorough documentation of all technical deliverables.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Provide comprehensive project reporting to:
- Clients
- Internal leadership
- Executive stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations.
- Interface with:
- Business Unit Leaders (for ROI analysis)
- Finance Teams (for cost management)
- Escalate critical issues while sustaining client confidence and relationships.
Requirements
Core Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex technology and data projects (especially in financial services).
- Preference for experience in global fund administration or asset management operations (though not mandatory).
- Strong background in:
- System implementations
- Process improvement initiatives
- Risk management (ability to anticipate and mitigate risks).
- Change management and user adoption strategies.
Leadership & Communication
- Exceptional client relationship management skills, with experience handling C-level stakeholders.
- Strong presentation and communication abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience:
- Leading cross-functional teams
- Managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Influence without formal authority
- Build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
- Proven emotional intelligence and capability to manage difficult client situations.

Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business
- Finance
- IT
- Related field
- PMP certification is a strong preference.
- Additional certifications in Agile, Change Management, or Data Management considered a plus.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Salesforce implementation/rollout experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with:
- Financial data management
- Reconciliation processes
- Data quality frameworks
- Ability to:
- Assess technical feasibility
- Provide realistic timelines for complex data projects.
Role Location & Work Arrangements
- Primarily based in our Southampton office.
- Agile Working: While most roles in Gen II are not fully flexible, some opportunities exist for flexible hybrid arrangements.
- Arrangements depend on:
- Business demands, office space availability
- Individual preferences/circumstances
- Project requirements.
