## **About the Role**
As **Senior Project Manager**, you will assume full ownership of delivering major **ERP transformation projects**, ensuring alignment with:
- Scope
- Schedule
- Budget
- Quality and stakeholder demands
Working closely with **business, technology, data, and supplier teams**, you’ll ensure Royal Mail’s new **SAP-led capabilities** are successfully executed with precision, transparency, and robust governance.
The role is instrumental in enabling:
- **Attribute-based pricing**
- **Automated billing**
- **Accurate revenue capture**
- **Improved customer experience** across Royal Mail’s **Commercial domain**

## **Key Responsibilities**
### **Project Initiation & Mobilisation**
- Define and validate project scope, criteria, and architectural boundaries for **SAP/ERP initiatives**.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with **business, tech, and supplier stakeholders**.
- Shape investment cases with accurate **risk, benefit, resource, and timeline forecasting**.
- Establish programme **governance, delivery models, structures, and mobilisation plans**.

Delivery Leadership
- Lead cross-functional and supplier integrity (SI) teams while adhering to SAP best practices and target architecture.
- Maintain a structured, controlled delivery environment through baselined plans, RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies), quality gates, and performance tracking.
- Integrate business, technical, data, and supplier streams effectively.
- oversee budgets, forecasting, supplier performance, benefit tracking, and business readiness.
- Ensure change management, training readiness, and cutover processes are embedded.
- Uphold security, data privacy, and corporate governance standards.
Transition & Closure
- Facilitate a seamless transition into BAU support, guaranteeing clear service readiness criteria.
- Conduct a structured project closure, including lessons learned, financial closeout, and benefit realisation reviews.
Team Leadership
- Build, coach, and develop high-performing teams, promoting accountability and psychological safety.
- Provide line management for Project Managers and act as deputy to the Programme Manager as required.
- Support recruitment efforts and nurture the programme’s collaborative culture.
Requirements & Eligibility
Essential Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience in complex technology project delivery, with a focus on ERP implementations.
- Proven track record leading multi-year programmes ($10M–$50M+ range).
- Strong matrix management skills, including leading teams of 50+ members across business and supplier groups.
- CP and executive communication prowess (ability to liaise with senior leadership).
- High resilience, problem-solving abilities, and track record of constructive conflict resolution.
- Robust stakeholder management and negotiations skills.
- Collaborative leadership and a customer-centric approach.
- Preferred certifications: APMP, PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile (or willingness to obtain).
