Role Description

To manage the full lifecycle of a large portfolio of complex enterprise-level software solutions into live mission-critical healthcare environments, and be responsible for improving project efficiency and effectiveness through project management process and tool improvements.

Responsibilities

  • To work with and follow the guidance of the Programme Manager or Programme Director
  • Project management and coordination of large-scale enterprise-class software delivery to external customers (NHS Trusts and Hospitals, etc)
  • To maintain and improve project management process and tools to achieve target improvements
  • To be responsible for all the project management activities in accordance with the company project management procedure (Prince 2 based):
    • Project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of all aspects of the project.
    • Undertake risk and issue management
    • Maintaining all project documentation in line with the Clinisys Delivery Method
    • Provide status reports identifying accomplishments, risks, issues, milestones against the baseline plan together with monthly project forecasts
    • Hold and attend regular internal and customer-led project meetings
    • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders
    • Matrix team/resource management, across internal service, delivery, development, and third-party vendor teams
  • To motivate all members involved in the project to ensure it is completed on time, to the specified budget, quality, and performance criteria
  • Coordinate delivery of software developments as necessary
  • Arrange delivery of projects in accordance with the contractual requirements.
  • Ensuring contract acceptance and sign-off by the customer
  • Accept handover from the sales team to commence project initiation
  • Delivering project handover to the support team
  • To coordinate activities between Clinisys and third parties as required within the scope of the project
  • To facilitate quality activities of the project and delivery team
  • To progress personal development and encourage the development of other staff members
  • To contribute to the team spirit within the company and to actively promote a customer-oriented approach
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned
  • Participate in cross-functional projects

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Skills needed to be successful

  • Experienced in MS Project
  • Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Leadership skills to manage a team and a portfolio of projects
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative toward project completion
  • Ability and willingness to work independently
  • Customer service skills and stakeholder management
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple projects
  • Ability to create and deliver executive-level summary reports and presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating with technical and non-technical clients and staff at all organisational levels.
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK&I as required – Driving Licence required

Required Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrable experience (preferably 5 years minimum) of working on large, complex projects in partnership with the UK Health Sector, c. 1000-3000 delivery days
  • Moderate experience (preferably 3 years minimum) within an IT or software provider's organisation
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience providing the knowledge/skills/abilities listed above may be substituted.

This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.

Onboarding

As part of our onboarding process, all new employees will be required to attend/travel to the office on their first day of employment. This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
