What’s The Opportunity
Due to the continuing success of our wider project management team and our ongoing expansion, we have an opportunity for a driven individual aspiring to progress their career within our team.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
- Lead in allocation of actions, tracking, monitoring and reporting project progress
- Lead major projects and frameworks, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and assurance processes across all projects
- Represent Ridge and our Clients on projects and programmes
- Update contractual milestones in project systems
- Ensure the document and project management plans are set up
- Follow up the project progress and inform the main stakeholders if there is any deviation

- Ability to support to manage projects, programmes and portfolios from inception to close out. You will demonstrate:
- Experience in managing light rail, heavy rail or wider rail industry / infrastructure projects through delivery and implementation
- Experience in managing contractors, consultants and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
- Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
- Experience in managing project budgets, costs, risks and programmes
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- The ability to produce clear reports and present information to a variety of audiences
- An understanding of CDM responsibilities from a client perspective
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
Additional Experience That Would Be Beneficial Includes
- Consultancy construction project management experience
- The ability to lead a series of projects and manage client relationships
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and similar digital software
- Knowledge of project management plans
- Previous experience of working on civil engineering schemes
- Experience of working client side or as Consultant

Qualifications
- Diploma/BSc/MSc in project management
- You will ideally be working (or considering working) towards achieving one of the qualifications below):
- MRICS
- MCIOB
- MAPM
- PRINCE2
To be a successful Project Manager you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in the office and on-site, whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and exhibiting the ability to be a proactive and passionate team player.
