Senior Projects Executive - Competitions (12-Month Maternity Cover)
London (with hybrid working)
About The Role
Our client is now looking for a Senior Projects Executive to join them on a full-time basis for an approximately 12-month fixed-term maternity contract.
The Role
As a Senior Projects Executive, you will lead the successful delivery of our client’s competitions, ensuring projects and events are delivered to the highest standards and achieve their strategic objectives.
You will take ownership of a specific project, overseeing its full annual lifecycle from planning through to live delivery. Working within agreed budgets and project plans, you will lead project teams, monitor performance, drive innovation and ensure objectives, funding commitments and key deliverables are achieved.
Alongside this, you will take on-site responsibility for event operations, overseeing venues, suppliers, budgets, procurement, registrations and onsite delivery, acting as the main point of contact for competitors, volunteers and other participants.
Additionally, you will:
- Support the delivery of other competitions and operational projects as required
- Produce data and reports to support strategic planning and performance monitoring
- Build strong relationships with committees, volunteers and key stakeholders
- Organise committee meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate minutes

About You
To be considered as a Senior Projects Executive, you will need:
- Demonstrable end-to-end event operations experience, ideally delivering large-scale events and projects
- Experience of managing budgets to achieve targets and maximise value
- Experience building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use your own initiative
- The willingness to travel regularly, including frequent overnight stays

- Salary of circa £43,000 per annum, depending on experience
