Senior Psychological Therapist/Clinical Psychologist (8a WTE) – Assertive Outreach Team
Bradford, Airedale Wharfedale, and Craven
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate applicant for a FTE (Whole-Time Equivalent) 1.0 position as a Senior Psychological Therapist/Clinical Psychologist within our Assertive Outreach Team.
This role will support individuals with complex mental health needs, associated with significant disability. Service users often have a history of:
- High use of inpatient care or intensive home-based support
- Difficulties in maintaining consistent, consenting engagement with services
- Violence or persistent offending histories
- Persistent self-harm or neglect
- Poor responses to prior treatments
- Dual diagnoses (substance misuse + serious mental illness)
- Unstable accommodation or homelessness
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
- Provide specialist, evidence-based psychological assessments, formulations, and therapy.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions, ensuring ethical and effective practice.
- Offer clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance on psychological interventions across the team.
- Provide consultation and advice to multidisciplinary professionals in Bradford, Airedale Wharfedale, and Craven.
- Adhere to NICE guidelines and maintain robust clinical governance.
- Ensure service effectiveness through research and development activities.
- Collaborate with the Team/Clinical Manager on service development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Uphold a trauma-informed approach when working with service users.

Requirements & Skills
- Experience in delivering specialist psychological therapies for individuals with complex mental health needs.
- A passion for supporting vulnerable populations who have faced exclusion or difficulty engaging with services.
- Strong commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary working.
- An ability to influenced service improvements through research and practice development.
