This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PWP to take the next step in their career!

As a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for our NHS Derbyshire Talking Therapies team, you’ll work alongside the Service Lead and PWP Team Lead to support, develop, and inspire the team - while continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to our service users.

About The Role

  • Deliver high-quality assessments and evidence-based low-intensity CBT interventions to patients referred by local GP practices.
  • Carry out rapid screenings and assessments, drawing on a sound understanding of mental health needs and associated risks.
  • Provide regular clinical and case management supervision to PWP team members and trainees.
  • Support the Team Lead with clinical supervision and line management responsibilities where needed.
  • Champion high standards of clinical record keeping in line with service policy.
  • Ensure service user needs and recovery goals remain at the heart of everything we do.
  • Actively support service development, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Lead by example - be a positive role model and promote a culture of learning and collaboration.

This is a full-time permanent role. You'll work Mondays to Fridays between the service operating hours of 8am-8pm (8am-5pm on Fridays), and you'd typically work one late shift per week (12pm-8pm).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
