Senior Public Affairs Manager
Senior Public Affairs Manager (12-month Fixed Term Contract)
Business Area: Nestlé UK&I Location: Gatwick Salary: £60,000–£70,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are recruiting for a 12-month fixed-term contract position within our Public Affairs team in Corporate Affairs & Sustainability.
This is a high-impact role based in the UK & Ireland Public Affairs team, operating at the heart of a dynamic political and regulatory environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing trust in Nestlé and shaping the company’s engagement with government, policymakers, NGOs, and broader stakeholders.
- Working across diverse policy areas to prepare the business for change, manage risk, and identify opportunities.
- Collaborating with external stakeholders (trade bodies, partners, political representatives) to deliver campaigns and strategies.
- Partnering with colleagues across Nestlé (including EU and global teams) to align insights with decision-making and business strategy.

Your Impact
The role demands strategic thinking, adaptability, and hands-on execution. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a trusted advisor on political, regulatory, and societal trends for senior leaders.
- Identifying and capturing opportunities, translating them into practical advice for the business.
- Leading on broad policy issues, including higher-profile and sensitive topics.
- Designing and delivering engagement strategies with government, policymakers, NGOs, and industry groups.
- Representing Nestlé externally by positioning the organisation as a credible and proactive partner.
- Managing issues and crises, both alone and with senior team members.
- Aligning public affairs with commercial goals by collaborating across the organisation.
- Driving thought leadership to shape critical policy conversations.
Role Requirements & Skills
Experience
- Significant experience in Public Affairs, political engagement, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of the UK policy and regulatory landscape with an active professional network.
- Proven track record advising senior stakeholders in a corporate or agency environment.
- Familiarity with food, sustainability, or consumer policy is advantageous.
