You'll collaborate with a diverse, international client base across sectors such as transport, defence, infrastructure, IT, health, and education.

Role Overview

As a Senior Public Sector Consultant, you'll hold a technical background in software-led consultancy, ideally within complex procurement environments. This role will focus on supporting and developing new and existing business, working closely with the VP of Professional Services as well as our wider professional services and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consulting engagements across our Professional Services portfolio. This includes: Evaluation design, Criteria development, Value for Money (VfM), Evaluation support.
  • Manage engagements with clients, working with or acting as the Lead Consultant, to ensure we deliver effective and timely support, as well as value for money to our clients – whilst controlling and escalating risks appropriately.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team, to position, develop and win new business – organically within existing projects, in identifying new leads and contacts, and in developing propositions for new clients and markets.
  • Play an active role in the process of quality management and peer review, operating within our policies and guidance.
  • Undertake AWARD® configuration and peer reviews to support the software delivery, and support clients in their use of AWARD®.
  • Help promote our consulting expertise, products and services in the wider market through e.g. webinars, event attendance, use of social media, public speaking, white papers, etc.
  • Support the VP PS in identifying and implementing improvements to the delivery of the Professional Services products, including through the use of AI.

Requirements

Essential

  • Eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) Clearance (You don't need to hold SC Clearance today, but you must be eligible to obtain it)
  • Proven experience delivering software-led consultancy or Public Sector consultancy, ideally within complex public sector environments
  • Experience managing and building strong client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage and deliver small projects effectively
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and, ideally, internationally
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Highly organised, proactive, and takes ownership
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience

Desirable:

  • Experience in Public Procurement, including procurement competition design and evaluation
  • Understanding of UK Government/Defence Procurement processes
  • A strong desire to learn about new software applications
  • Ability to manage inter-related project requirements
