Senior Purchasing Coordinator
Leicester
Up to £48,000 DOE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing organisation with a diverse property portfolio, including residential, commercial and development projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong purchasing and supplier management experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take ownership of the procurement function while supporting ongoing business growth.
Description of the role:
Reporting into senior management, you will oversee purchasing activities across multiple operational sites and projects, ensuring materials, equipment and services are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key responsibilities include:
- Managing purchasing activities across operational sites, refurbishment and development projects.
- Sourcing materials, equipment, operational supplies and plant hire.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and service agreements.
- Monitoring supplier performance to ensure quality, value and timely delivery.
- Verifying invoices, resolving discrepancies and supporting the finance team.
- Coordinating deliveries and ensuring projects receive materials on schedule.
- Managing stock control, inventory and inter-site transfers.
- Handling product issues, returns and quality concerns.
- Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes and systems.
- Providing guidance and day-to-day support to a Purchasing Coordinator.

About you:
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement or buying role.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Good IT skills, particularly with Excel!
