At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEM’s in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery
Job Description
- Acts as operational lead for complex and escalated supplier quality claims, including structured handling of escalations and risk mitigation
- Develop and implement GleP specific quality concepts and solutions based on DC purchasing quality concepts (e.g. Incoming inspection standards; Claim process, measurement concepts; Execution of plant quality plan...). Further develop existing procedures, methods, and systems
- Leading of PUQ project inside Glenrothes and support DC PUQ initiatives with transfer into Glenrothes
- Support supplier in quality methods and standards
- Coordinates suppliers claim activities, covering containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification
- Analysing internal quality issues and suppliers and develop strategies for quality improvement. Preparing the necessary reports and documentation. Making decisions on quality in borderline and exceptional cases with initiating and monitoring of corrective actions.
- Serves as the primary interface to suppliers and cross functional stakeholders (Engineering, Production, Logistics, PUE) for claim resolution
- Ensures appropriate PUQ Claim support is provided to Purchasing Engineering (PUE) projects
- Maintains failure cost transparency, prepares debiting documentation, and tracks claim related KPIs
- Ensures compliant documentation, system entries (e.g. SAP and quality systems), and representation of PUQ in regular operational meetings
- Preparation and managing of quality meeting with internal partners and external suppliers
- Availability and willingness to undertake short notice travel to domestic and non domestic supplier locations in line with business requirements

Qualifications

- Technical education (e.g. Technician, Mechanical Engineer / Craftsperson with min. NVQ Level 3 or comparable education) is preferable.
- Proven experience in managing supplier quality claims and escalations
- Strong knowledge of problem solving methods and standard QM-Tools (FMEA; APQP; SQPM SPC,…)
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Structured, assertive, and solution-oriented working style
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing and machining processes, with the ability to interpret and assess engineering drawings.
