Senior Python Developer / Consultant (AWS SaaS) – Manchester / WFH (£80k)

The Opportunity

Provegress your career in a senior, hands-on Python Developer / Consultant role at a profitable SaaS scale-up that delivers a revolutionary software suite for legal firms. Their product significantly reduces para-legal workloads, generating substantial demand and fostering greenfield development opportunities.

As a Senior Python Developer, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with clients and take end-to-end ownership of bespoke projects
  • Build cloud-based applications and systems using Python and Amazon Web Services
  • Work independently, make timely technical decisions, and see the impact of your work quickly

Location & Flexibility

  • Hybrid role: Join a small but growing team based in Central Manchester (3 days on-site, including potential client site visits) and work from home (2 days).
  • Flexible schedule to suit your needs.

About You

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Client-facing experience: Direct client interaction and project ownership
  • Python expertise: Strong backend Python development skills, ideally involving FastAPI
  • AWS proficiency: Knowledge of CDK (Cloud Development Kit)
  • DevOps awareness: Strong understanding of modern DevOps principles and best practices
  • Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience
  • Business acumen: Prior experience working in startups or SMEs
  • Proactive ownership: Eagerness to drive improvements and contribute to product evolution
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • Design & portfolio: Ideally with an active GitHub account and/or personal coding projects
