Senior QA / Test Engineer | Financial Trading Platforms | London (Hybrid) | £60,000 + Bonus

I’m assisting a financial-services specialist in hiring an experienced Senior QA / Test Engineer to drive quality improvements across complex, business-critical trading systems.

An ideal candidate will have deep testing expertise within trading platforms, exchanges, or regulated financial environments, with a passion for developing testing strategies, expanding automation frameworks, and ensuring stability across integrated systems.

About the Role

You’ll be joining a highly technical environment where reliability, accuracy, and quality are non-negotiable. This role focuses on ownership over testing quality, working collaboratively with developers, product teams, and stakeholders in an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive QA strategy for trading and financial-services applications • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks • Build and maintain comprehensive regression suites across multiple systems and services • Conduct targeted testing, including integration, API, database, performance, and end-to-end testing • Ensure the stability and timeliness of regulated software releases • Enhance automation coverage across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Collaborate with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to refine processes and deliver high-quality software • Identify risks early to prevent production failures in business-critical trading systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
