Job Description: Senior Quality Assurance Officer (Operations)

The Role
As the Senior Quality Assurance Officer (Operations), you will lead quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and safeguarding product integrity. Acting as the stand-in for the QA Operations Manager, you will allocate resources effectively and drive continuous improvement within the factory’s manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the QA Operations team, provide on-site quality authority, and act as a daily stand-in for the QA Operations Manager
- Provide expert quality insights to resolve production issues, ensuring compliance with GMP, FEMAS, ISO, and industry regulations
- Allocate, coordinate, and optimize resources to support team productivity and operational efficiency
- Conduct detailed batch reviews and documentation to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Supervise final product inspections and releases to guarantee products meet all quality benchmarks
- Lead complaint investigations and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) analyses
- Ensure on-time product releases by streamlining batch reviews and managing deviations
- Maintain compliance with internal audits, resolving findings promptly to close gaps
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost product quality and operational efficiency
- Foster cross-department collaboration, communication, and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) compliance
- Mentor team members with the aim of building a quality-conscious culture of compliance and improvement

Standard Working Hours (UK):
- Monday to Thursday: 06:00 AM – 2:10 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid break per day)
- Friday: 06:00 AM – 1:20 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid break)
Your Profile
Skills & Abilities

- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in quality management systems (e.g., FEMAS, ISO, GMP)
- Deep understanding of industry regulations and audit protocols
- Analytical problem-solving expertise (root cause analysis, remedy implementation)

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Education & Experience
- A degree (or equivalent) in a STEM-related subject (preferred but not essential)
- At least 5 years of experience in a quality role within Pharmaceutical or Food Manufacturing
- Valid work experience as a supervisor/team lead in quality assurance
