Senior Quality Engineer – Airbus Belfast Limited

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance or subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check)

Join our Belfast-based team at the forefront of commercial aviation, excitingly supporting major Airbus programs and global aerostructures. You’ll have the unique role of overseeing quality assurance for advanced wing components, ensuring the safety standards of the next generation of aircraft. This opportunity allows you to drive engineering excellence within a world-class manufacturing site at the heart of Northern Ireland’s aerospace hub.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

As our Senior Quality Engineer, you will:

  • Serve as the primary steward of product integrity, ensuring all components meet international aerospace standards before departure.
  • Interpret complex customer specifications and lead cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformances through robust corrective action.
  • Play a central role in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), providing critical oversight and quality assurance from initial design stages to final delivery.

ABOUT YOU

We seek an experienced professional with:

  • A strong background in manufacturing or engineering, bringing practical expertise.
  • A deep understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques, including:
    • Planning, procurement, and tooling.
    • Seamless integration of quality assurance at every production stage.
  • A comprehensive grasp of quality tools and technical documentation, with familiarity (but not mandatory) of:
    • Aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100).
