Senior Quantitative Analyst – Futures & Options (Python Specialist)

Location: London (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000
Position Type: Permanent

The Opportunity

On behalf of a leading, high-growth financial technology provider, we are seeking a senior Quantitative Analyst who specializes in Futures & Options and possesses expert-level Python capabilities.

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role bridging the gap between cutting-edge data science, product development, and client engagement. Reporting to the Head of Data Science (EMEA & APAC) with a direct line to the Chief Product Officer, you will leverage an award-winning, petabyte-scale data science environment to solve complex quantitative problems, drive key marketing and sales initiatives, and directly influence the firm's product roadmap.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want your quantitative work to directly impact business growth and client success, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Python-Driven Analysis: Leverage a petabyte-scale data lake to perform deep-dive analysis, build technical prototypes, and deliver data-driven insights.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with external partners, buy-side clients, and key stakeholders to translate complex business needs into robust, reproducible quantitative solutions.
  • Product Evolution: Collaborate with the product team to shape the product roadmap. You will gather client feedback, generate new product ideas, and actively participate in the development cycle.
  • Go-To-Market Impact: Support sales and marketing teams by demonstrating how the product suite solves real-world quantitative challenges, acting as the technical face of the product.
  • Clean Documentation & Delivery: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for all code and methodologies to ensure absolute transparency and reproducibility.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
