Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Preston
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing consultancy team. This role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of Quantity Surveying and Employer's Agent services across a diverse range of projects and sectors. It is ideal for someone confident in managing projects, building relationships, and taking responsibility for construction projects from inception to completion.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver pre-and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, and feasibility budgets.
- Produce tender documentation and manage tender processes.
- Prepare contract documents.
- Undertake valuations, cost reporting, and change control.
- Assess variations, loss and expense claims, and final accounts.
- Provide Employer's Agent services on design and build projects.
- Chair and attend client, design team, and contractor meetings.
- Manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Support junior members of the team.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working as a PQS.
- Strong Quantity Surveying and commercial management experience.
- Good knowledge of JCT contracts.
- Experience acting as, or supporting, an Employer's Agent.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage workload independently and take ownership of projects.
- Proactive, ambitious, and commercially aware approach.
- MRICS status required for a Senior (or working towards for a consultant level).
- A full UK driving licence.
