Senior Quantity Surveyor - Construction & Engineering

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a well-established and growing construction and engineering business?

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality construction and engineering projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they're looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Chester.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex projects while working within a collaborative and supportive environment that genuinely values its people.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for multiple construction and engineering projects from pre-contract through to final account. Working closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and the wider commercial team, you'll ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong commercial controls.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
