Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of secured work, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will play a vital role in commercial management of demolition and enabling works projects, from tender through to final account. Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with operational teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure profitably delivered projects

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of multiple demolition and enabling works projects
- Prepare accurate cost plans, forecasts, and monthly valuations
- Administer NEC and JCT contracts
- Identify, price, and negotiate variations and compensation events
- Procure subcontractors and manage the tender process
- Prepare and agree subcontract packages and payments
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and profitability
- Produce monthly cost value reconciliations and commercial reports
- Prepare and negotiate final accounts
- Work closely with Project Managers and operational teams to drive commercial success
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities across projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in demolition, enabling works, civil engineering, or specialist construction
- Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contract forms
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting software
- Full UK Driving Licence
