Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support our delivery on the AWE Framework in Berkshire.
This is a key commercial leadership role, responsible for providing expert commercial guidance and ensuring successful delivery across a complex and high-profile programme. You will lead on cost management, contract administration, and supply chain engagement, working closely with operational teams to achieve commercial, programme, and quality objectives.
The role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you will influence performance, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
- Lead the commercial management of projects, ensuring cost, value, and profitability targets are achieved
- Prepare accurate and timely commercial reports, forecasts, and cost/value reconciliations
- Manage subcontractor accounts including procurement, payments, variations, and final accounts
- Ensure timely submission of payment applications and fair administration of subcontract payments
- Identify, price, and manage variations and change in line with contractual requirements
- Provide commercial support and advice to operational teams to maximise value recovery
- Build strong working relationships with delivery teams and stakeholders to support programme success
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and governance requirements
- Oversee and develop junior commercial staff, providing mentoring and performance support
- Support health, safety, and environmental objectives across all commercial activities
- Contribute to planning, reporting, and performance analysis, including cost forecasting and KPI tracking

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree (BSc or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline
- Working towards or holding professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
- CSCS card (relevant level)
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge across a range of contract forms
- Proven experience in managing commercial activities on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
- Experience managing and developing commercial teams
- Knowledge of current construction legislation and industry practice
