Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering contractor on a major long-term infrastructure scheme in the Cheshire area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a technically challenging project with a well-established commercial team, supporting the delivery of a nationally significant engineering programme.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of a major civils package from procurement through to final account.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial administration
- Preparing and agreeing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Managing compensation events and change control under NEC contracts
- Cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities
- Building strong relationships with the client, supply chain and project delivery teams
- Supporting the commercial performance of the project throughout its lifecycle

About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and commercial reporting
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently within a busy project environment
Experience within sectors such as ground engineering, industrial construction, energy, heavy civils or major infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
