Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Full-Time (Bedfordshire, £55k–£70k p.a. + Benefits)
About the Role
A nationally recognised main contractor is hiring an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its progressive commercial team.
This opportunity involves managing high-value construction projects—ranging from £5m to £60m+—across industrial, logistics, and commercial sectors. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional projects within a forward-thinking organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial aspects of construction projects, from procurement through to final account preparation.
- Oversee subcontract procurement, valuations, and payment processes.
- Develop and submit client valuations, cost reports, variations, and associated documentation.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks to optimise project profitability.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to enhance project performance and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships.
- Ensure all financial aspects align with contractual obligations, industry standards, and NEC (New Engineering Contract) agreements.

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment.
- Independent project management skills, with a track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and construction methodologies.
- Extensive experience in industrial, commercial, logistics, or large-scale construction projects.
- Exceptional commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (desirable).
