The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team at Biogenie. This hands-on role requires someone who thrives on tight interaction with operational teams, possesses strong commercial and contractual expertise, and can confidently deliver projects from tender through to final account.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll:
- Manage the commercial delivery of complex remediation and enabling works projects across the UK.
- Ensure projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to maximise commercial performance.
- Administer contracts, manage subcontractors, and navigate commercial risks and opportunity events.
You’ll need to hit the ground running, with proven experience in NEC and JCT forms of contract within civil engineering, remediation, or similar construction environments.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the commercial delivery of projects from tender to final account.
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and monthly commercial reports (including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)).
- Creating and agreeing applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts.
- Managing subcontract procurement, payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Administering projects under NEC and JCT contracts.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks, opportunities, and contract compensation events.
- Collaborating closely with Project Managers to optimise cost control and commercial performance.
- Building and maintaining strong client, stakeholder, and supplier relationships.

Your Profile
To succeed, you’ll need:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, remediation, or construction.
- Strong, practical experience administering both NEC and JCT contracts.
- Experience managing commercial delivery from tender through to final account.
- In-depth expertise in cost reporting, CVRs, valuations, subcontract management, and change control.
- Excellent commercial judgement, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Qualified degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, or relevant experience.
- Full UK driving licence with the flexibility to travel across the UK as required.
