Senior Quantity Surveyor

Contractor

An established and highly respected engineering and construction business is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

This is a contract role working in an established team delivering high-value, complex nuclear projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring successful commercial outcomes across major projects
  • Managing commercial activities from contract award through to final account
  • Administering and negotiating variations and contract changes
  • Working collaboratively within an experienced commercial team
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Liaising with internal departments to support profitable project delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong background in a commercial role within the construction or engineering sector
  • Solid working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence and build long-term client relationships
  • Understanding of fabrication processes (desirable)
  • Experience managing variations while maintaining repeat business
