Senior Quantity Surveyor – Power Infrastructure | Renewables | Solar | BESS
Location: Hybrid – East of England (Site Travel Required)
We're seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering major power infrastructure, Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role across multiple projects, taking ownership from tender stage through to final account while supporting the UK's energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, and commercial performance
- Prepare and review tenders, estimates, and cost plans
- Administer NEC contracts, variations, compensation events, and claims
- Produce CVRs, WIP reports, forecasts, and monthly commercial reporting
- Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
- Support project teams with contractual and commercial guidance
- Build strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Lead commercial close-out activities and final accounts

About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Background in power infrastructure, utilities, renewables, Solar, BESS, or civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience with CVRs, forecasting, WIP reporting, and cost control
- Skilled in subcontract management, procurement, and commercial negotiations
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar (preferred)
- RICS qualification desirable
