The Role
Mission
Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? At Biogenie, we’re seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. You’ll play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of complex remediation and enabling works projects across the UK.

This hands-on role is for someone who enjoys close collaboration with operational teams, has strong commercial and contractual expertise, and can confidently manage projects from tender through to final account.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll:
- Manage the commercial delivery of projects from tender through to final account.
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and monthly commercial reports (including CVRs).
- Prepare and agree applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts.
- Manage subcontract procurement, payments, variations, and final accounts.
- Administer projects under NEC and JCT contracts.
- Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, and compensation events.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and site teams to maximise commercial performance.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Support successful project delivery via cost control and commercial management.

To succeed, you’ll need:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, remediation, or similar.
- Strong, practical experience with NEC and JCT contract forms.
- Experience managing projects commercially from tender to final account.
- Deep knowledge of cost reporting, Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), valuations, subcontract management, and change control.
- Excellent commercial judgement, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience).
- Full UK driving licence and preparedness to travel throughout the UK as required.
