Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor
London Data Centre Projects
A leading main contractor in the critical infrastructure environment is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team, delivering major Data Centre projects across London.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commercial delivery of major MEP packages, with future opportunities to support CSA fit-out projects as the General Contractor. Working closely with project teams, clients and subcontractors, they will ensure robust commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of MEP packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Manage project cash flow, cost control and change management processes.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising project profitability.
- Oversee procurement activities in collaboration with the procurement team.
- Administer subcontractor accounts from award through to final account, including valuations and variations.
- Support project teams with commercial advice and contractual matters.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
- Drive value engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes.
- Mentor and support members of the commercial team.
- Resolve commercial issues and manage claims efficiently to ensure successful project delivery.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of six years' post-qualification Quantity Surveying experience.
- Proven experience in an MEP Quantity Surveying role.
- Previous Data Centre project experience (preferred but not essential).
- Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong IT skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
