Role description:
Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, to provide commercial support and management to the project commercial team, ensuring that all aspects of project contract administration is undertaken in a timely and accurate manner.
Key responsibilities:
- Subcontract management and general project commercial actions
- Management of junior project commercial staff
- Delivery and accountability for internal and external project commercial targets
- Engagement with project stakeholders including Client commercial team
- Ensure the accuracy of data communicated and reported to all stakeholders
- The highlighting of any current and potential issues to the commercial manager
- Maintain compliance with approved processes procedures and project executive plans
- The active contribution to continuous improvement of the functional quality and performance of Quantity Surveying
- To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan

Requirements:
- Supervisory/management experience within a project commercial team
- Knowledge and/or experience of the management of Subcontracts
- BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
- Chartered member to a recognised organisation (RICS or CIOB) an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of commercial aspects of civil and infrastructure projects
- Experience of a Contract Management System (CEMAR etc)
- Capable of obtaining (or currently holds) UK Nuclear industry clearance
- Could manage a small team, whilst reporting into a more senior member for strategic and management guidance
