Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water & Civils experience needed!

Location: London

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Tier 2 civil engineering contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects across London. The business has a strong reputation for successfully delivering projects across the water, utilities and civil engineering sectors and has secured a healthy pipeline of work through long-term framework agreements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing commercial team with genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of multiple water and civil engineering projects.
  • Administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and change management.
  • Preparing and managing subcontract procurement and commercial packages.
  • Managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.
  • Producing accurate cost forecasts, CVRs and financial reports.
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Valuing completed works and agreeing applications and payments.
  • Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance and profitability.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, utilities or water infrastructure.
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil engineering contractor is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and commercial reporting.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
