Senior Quantity Surveyor

London | Construction Consultancy | Permanent

Are you at the stage in your career where you're looking for more responsibility, greater autonomy and the opportunity to genuinely influence the projects you work on?

I'm working with a well-established construction consultancy that's continuing to invest in its London team and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys leading projects, building strong client relationships and mentoring less experienced surveyors, whilst remaining hands-on with project delivery.

What you'll be doing

You'll take ownership of a range of construction projects from early cost advice through to final account, acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Working alongside an experienced team, you'll be involved in:

  • Managing projects across a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare and industrial.
  • Producing cost plans, budgets and procurement advice.
  • Preparing tender documentation and managing tender processes.
  • Administering contracts and providing commercial advice during construction.
  • Managing project costs, change control and final accounts.
  • Building long-term relationships with clients and becoming their trusted point of contact.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the business through excellent client service and relationship management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
