The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with specialist knowledge of NEC contracts.
In this role, you will take a leadership position in commercial management, guiding our team and ensuring successful delivery across a broad portfolio of projects. You’ll work 2–3 days per week from the Warrington office, collaborating with operational teams, subcontractors, clients, and senior management.
What you’ll be doing
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your role will include:
- Leading and supporting a team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Administrators
- Managing subcontractor accounts, including dispute resolution when required
- Driving value maximisation through effective change control and contract management
- Ensuring accurate weekly cost reporting, valuations, and work-in-progress (WIP) management
- Preparing payment applications and assisting the business in achieving cash flow targets
- Providing commercial insights to Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and the Commercial Manager
- Supporting annual budget preparation, monthly reforecasting, and profit & loss reporting
- Building strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders

Who we’re looking for
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (or Senior QS), ideally in structural repair, concrete remediation, highways, infrastructure, civil engineering, or similar technical environments
- Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts (essential)
- Skilled in developing and managing subcontracts and commercial agreements
- Must be highly organised, analytical, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong proficiency in IT skills (structured Word/Excel) and clear, professional presentation abilities
- A team player with integrity, accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
