Location: Warrington

Company: Balfour Beatty – Balvac

Join Balvac – Proud Custodians of the UK’s Infrastructure

Balvac, part of Balfour Beatty, is a leading specialist in structural maintenance, asset strengthening, concrete repair, and refurbishment across the UK. Our teams work on some of the country’s most important highways, bridges, tunnels, and critical infrastructure—keeping people moving safely and reliably.

With over 90 years of expertise, Balvac is known for delivering technically challenging projects with innovation, precision, and a culture of integrity. If you’re passionate about helping extend the life of the nation’s infrastructure while developing your own career, this is the place to be.

The Opportunity

In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing commercial performance, leading our commercial team, and supporting successful delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll be office-based in Warrington 2–3 days per week, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, clients, and senior leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare payment applications and support the business in achieving cash flow targets.
  • Provide commercial insight to Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and the Commercial Manager.
  • Support annual budget preparation, monthly reforecasting, and profit & loss (P&L) reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
