We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places - Building Solutions team based in London.
Location: London
Hours: 40 hours a week 08:30 – 17:00
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing the commercial resources of construction projects, working on exciting refurbishment and re-cladding projects valued between £5m - £15m. You'll be part of a collaborative team that's committed to delivering high-quality projects for strategic clients across London, making a positive difference to communities every day.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in maximising project profitability and managing commercial relationships. Your day to day will include:
- Managing commercial resources and maximising planned gross margin through careful placement and control of contracts
- Tendering, evaluating and appointing subcontractors, and placing orders for materials and plant
- Identifying, negotiating and agreeing project variations with customers and suppliers
- Measuring, valuing and agreeing work progress to support invoicing and payment processes
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain

What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You have a Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying (desirable) and relevant experience in a similar role
- You possess strong communication skills and can work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- You're highly organised with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- You're confident using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems
- You're collaborative, willing to share knowledge and support others whilst taking initiative when needed
