Location: Crewe

Compensation: Excellent Salary + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Opportunity:

A leading privately-owned infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major multi-million-pound rail & civils project in Crewe and surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across the rail and civil engineering sectors. The business has developed an outstanding reputation for delivering complex infrastructure schemes while maintaining a collaborative, people-focused culture and clear opportunities for progression.

We are keen to speak with commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor professionals from either a rail or broader civil engineering background who are looking to play a key role on flagship infrastructure schemes within a growing and progressive business.

The Role:

  • Commercial management of a major rail & civils scheme
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
  • Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
  • Contract administration under NEC contracts
  • Managing variations, change and commercial risk
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
  • Working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, rail or civils
  • Strong NEC contract knowledge
  • Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ambitious individual seeking long-term career progression

Rail experience would be highly advantageous; however, candidates from a wider civils, infrastructure, highways, utilities or heavy construction background are also encouraged to apply.
