Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS) – Data Centre Projects
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join one of Ireland’s largest construction companies, specialising in Data Centre projects secured in the London region.
Due to ongoing expansion in our Data Centre division, Jones Engineering is looking for a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to manage projects in London, where further growth is anticipated. This role presents an opportunity for an ambitious SQS to progress into a Commercial Manager role with support and mentorship from our Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will:
- Provide commercial support to the Construction Team, including:
- Managing MEP projects as part of our General Contractor scope, with future responsibility for CSA fit-out projects.
- Overseeing cashflow management and change control procedures.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks, while capitalising on opportunities to maximise profit margins and minimise losses.
- Supporting procurement activities and contract administration in collaboration with the Procurement Department.
- Managing subcontractor accounts from award through to interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
