Senior Quantity Surveyor – Landmark Energy Infrastructure Project
Granite Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an outstanding client to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a landmark, long-term project in Peterhead. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take on a high-profile role within a major energy infrastructure programme.
You will play a pivotal part in the successful delivery of this mega-project, working alongside a strong and collaborative Quantity Surveying team across a highly regarded business. The role will give you the opportunity to apply your commercial leadership across key project workstreams, ensuring robust financial control, effective contract management, and the achievement of critical commercial objectives.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from a civil engineering background and bring experience in horizontal directional drilling (HDD), ideally involving HVDC cable projects. Strong working knowledge of NEC contract forms will also be important.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular commercial reports and updates to management meetings
- Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders
- Manage complex subcontractor packages
- Lead commercial risk analysis across important areas of project delivery

Additional Information
Experience within a highly regulated energy environment would be highly advantageous, as would familiarity with the ASTI framework, although neither is essential for the right candidate.
