Senior Quantity Surveyor
UNIQUE Infrastructure project
Bedfordshire
Up to £72,000 plus company package
The Opportunity
Kenton Black is working with a leading tier-one contractor within the infrastructure sector who is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a portfolio of local authority projects across Bedfordshire.
This is a key commercial role within a well-established infrastructure team, offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of civil engineering schemes while managing cost, risk, and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Prepare and negotiate subcontract documentation, including terms, pricing, and programmes
- Manage subcontract packages, including interim assessments and change control
- Issue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors in line with contract requirements
- Manage and assess change events, including compensation event quotations
- Produce, submit, and agree monthly applications in accordance with contract terms
- Work closely with operational and engineering teams to ensure accurate site records are maintained
- Prepare monthly reporting, including Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and maintain cost plans with accurate forecasting and tracking

About You
- Strong understanding and experience working with NEC contracts
- Proficient in IT systems including Excel, Word, and commercial management platforms (e.g. CEMAR, Oracle)
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience within a commercial environment
- Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects or multiple smaller schemes
- CSCS card (relevant level)
- Excellent time management and commercial awareness
- Professional membership (e.g. MCIOB, MRICS) or working towards this (desirable)
