The Role

We're on the hunt for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team. In this role, you'll lead the commercial management of key work packages, protecting project value while ensuring contractual compliance and commercial excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all commercial and cost management activities for assigned work packages.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow reports, and commercial reporting.
  • Administer NEC contracts, compensation events, change control, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Manage commercial risk, procurement activities, subcontractor performance, and contractual compliance.
  • Work closely with engineering, planning, project controls, legal, procurement, and client teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Produce detailed commercial reports and support audits with accurate, traceable documentation.
  • Support contractual claims, dispute resolution, and commercial strategy development.
  • Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and promote strong commercial awareness across the project team.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within major construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong commercial management, cost control, contract administration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial processes.
  • Ability to manage commercial risk, procurement, subcontractor accounts, and change management.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
  • Bonus: Experience working within highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, defence, energy, or major infrastructure projects.
