Senior Quantity Surveyor

£120,000 (Approx. €139,000) + Excellent Package DOE

Lead the commercial delivery of a major 130-unit residential apartment development for a leading UK main contractor, taking ownership of procurement, cost management, and commercial performance from project commencement through to completion.

Background

Strive Search has partnered with a leading UK main contractor to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a landmark residential development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement and commercial management of Design & Build JCT projects ranging from £30 million to £150 million. Working as part of the senior site management team, you will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of the project while reporting directly to company directors. Depending on your experience and the scale of the project, you will either operate as the commercial lead or lead a team of Quantity Surveyors.

The initial project comprises a 130-unit residential apartment scheme across three blocks, delivering a mix of Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent homes. The development is being constructed using a reinforced concrete frame with a brick façade and bolt-on balconies, with works commencing in September and completion scheduled for Q2 2028.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
