Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor (MRICS Preferred) – London | Hybrid
📍 Location: London (Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week on-site, including weekly travel to Reigate, Surrey)
About the Role
Our client, a global consultancy specialising in facilities management, workplace strategy, and project consultancy, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Cost Management team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, delivering commercial excellence across diverse projects—from inception to completion. You’ll shape long-term client relationships while ensuring transparent, value-driven delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cost planning, estimating, and budgeting throughout all project stages.
- Prepare and administer cost plans, procurement strategies, tender documentation, and contract administration.
- Provide accurate financial reporting, cost forecasting, cash flow analysis, and risk assessments.
- Offer strategic commercial advice to clients to maximise value for money.
- Manage change control and commercial risk effectively.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Present cost strategies and lead client meetings with confidence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and designers.
- Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors.
- Administer NEC, JCT, and FIDIC contracts where relevant.
- Drive value engineering and sustainable cost management solutions.

Key Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant in a consultancy environment.
- Expertise in:
- Cost planning
- Procurement strategies
- Contract administration (including NEC, JCT, preferred; FIDIC beneficial)
- Commercial reporting
- Experience in sectors such as:
- Commercial
- Workplace
- Education
- Public Sector
- Retail
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- MRICS qualification preferred (or working towards chartership).
