Senior Quantity Surveyor
What's the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our cost management team, with immediate involvement in a long-term Healthcare client portfolio. Based in Winchester, you will help deliver a strong pipeline of secured projects, gaining responsibility and client exposure within a collaborative, progressive team.
Our projects range from £1m to £60m, across sectors including Healthcare, Education, and Residential. The focus will be on Healthcare, supporting the growth of this client base.
What you need to do to be effective in this role
- Lead cost management from inception to completion on major projects
- Develop cost plans, feasibility studies, and estimates at all RIBA stages
- Utilise digital tools for quantity take-off and estimating
- Evaluate designs for cost efficiency
- Prepare and manage tender documentation and processes
- Advise on contracts and procurement
- Attend meetings, produce financial reports, and manage post-contract cost control
- Build strong client relationships and support Healthcare sector delivery
- Maintain high professional standards

The skills and experience you need to have for this role
- Relevant degree (RICS accredited), MRICS or working towards chartership
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Knowledge of construction methodologies and JCT/NEC contracts
- Experience in cost planning, procurement, and cost management
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Healthcare sector experience (preferred)
- Interest in digital tools such as BIM and CostX
